    • Thanks to the moving block principle, the rmCBTC® system increases the capacity of overloaded metro and suburban railway lines – which directly leads to an increased number of transported passengers;

    • Safety improvement thanks to continuous suppervision of the driver via ATP (Automatic Train Protection), i.e. stopping before a dangerous point in the supervised system;

    • rmCBTC® system saves energy:

    - Smooth train traffic reduces the consumption of traction energy;

    - Balises which are used to locate trains on the railway tracks are passive devices and, contrary to induction loops, don’t require a power source.

    • The use of rmCBTC® allows for a unified control system to cover both new and existing metro lines. At the same time, replacing existing control systems allows for increased capacity through the use of movable block sections.

    • The use of braking curves and ATO speed profiles increases the vehicle driving smoothness, which enhances safety and passenger comfort.

    • Additional functions are possible to implement in conjunction with other already existing systems, e.g. object detection on the railway track and Dynamic Passenger Information System.

    • Lower cost of installation and easier maintenance are possible due to use of the same device. Depending on the application, it serves as an access point on board the vehicle and in the infrastructure.

    Key features of the drive:

    • Only 104 kg in weight and small dimensions facilitate installation, especially in tight switchgear rooms, where space for equipment is limited.

    • After switching of contacts, the driving bar is held with non-trailable force of ≥ 25 kN. Meanwhile, the external locking mechanism causes the switchblade locked against its stock rail.
