Railway line 8 with systems from Kombud on the Skarżysko-Kamienna – Tumlin section

Zakłady Automatyki Kombud S.A. has signed an agreement with Przedsiębiorstwo Napraw i Utrzymania Infrastruktury Kolejowej (PNiUK) for the installation of railway traffic control (SRK) systems and telecommunication infrastructure on railway line No. 8 on the Skarżysko-Kamienna – Tumlin section. The project covers the full scope from design, delivery and installation, to commissioning of SRK equipment and telecommunication systems, along with the completion of certification and safety assessment processes.

As part of the investment, Kombud will implement the computerized railway traffic control systems MOR-1 and MOR-3, which will provide comprehensive and integrated train traffic management. The new infrastructure will cover, among others, 3 stations – Suchedniów, Łączna, and Zagnańsk, 13 level crossing systems, and 69 point machines. The solutions applied will allow for real-time supervision of railway traffic, increasing its safety, fluidity, and operational efficiency.

– This is another section of railway line number eight featuring our control systems. And we have already proven that we can execute complex contracts efficiently, reliably, and on schedule. The investment will cover key elements of the railway traffic control system with our computerized system MOR-3, whose entire value chain – from design, production, installation, and service – is located in our country. It is this approach that has the greatest impact on the resilience of infrastructure and technological sovereignty. We are ready to deliver infrastructure that meets the highest technical and operational standards, and thereby increase the capacity of the railway infrastructure – emphasizes Artur Marcinkiewicz, President of the Management Board of Zakłady Automatyki Kombud S.A.

The scope of the work to be performed also includes the preparation of project documentation, conducting verification and certification processes of subsystems, as well as carrying out safety assessments by independent bodies, in accordance with current requirements for railway infrastructure.

The ongoing investment represents a step towards modernizing railway infrastructure and raising traffic management standards on a major route connecting Kraków, via Kielce and Radom, with Warsaw. The technological solutions implemented will translate to a higher level of safety, improved punctuality, and greater reliability in railway traffic operations.

Zakłady Automatyki Kombud S.A. is the largest domestic technology company producing railway traffic control systems.
